What is GEO? Buyers are asking AI. Does the answer mention you?

Some buyers no longer type into a search box; they ask an AI assistant instead. If the answer doesn't mention you, your search ranking never reaches that buyer.

Mimir team

Picture a buyer asking an AI assistant, “Which sunscreen is good for sensitive skin?” What comes back isn't a list of links. It's a single answer that names a few brands. If you're not in it, then as far as that buyer is concerned, you don't exist.

GEO, or generative engine optimization, is the work of measuring and improving how you show up in those answers. It doesn't replace classic SEO. It adds a second question next to it: not what position you rank in, but whether the answer mentions you at all.

How Mimir measures it

Mimir puts the questions your customers are likely to ask to Claude and Gemini, and records who shows up in the answers. You don't have to guess whether your brand or your competitors get mentioned; you can read it from the record.

You can run the measurement for five markets: Türkiye, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and global. The same question can get a different answer in a different market, so you choose each market separately.

Why measuring comes first

Answers change over time. A question that mentions you today might not mention you tomorrow. Once you keep a record, you can look back and see how each question was answered on any given day.

Mimir doesn't promise results. It shows you what's happening. Which page to strengthen and which question to answer is your call.
